Utilizing joint locks, chokes, takedowns, holds and pins, BJJ provides a variety of skills for self defence or MMA. It is also the most effective system of self defence for females especially considering it specializes on the ground which is where they’re likely to be end up against an aggressor.

Kids AND TEENS Classes
We pride ourselves on our inclusive and supportive environment, where kids and teens of all backgrounds come to develop confidence, discipline, self-esteem and a sense of control. Martial arts is not just about getting fit or losing weight, it is about empowering young people by channeling their fears, frustrations, anxieties and worries into a structured and controlled self-defense environment and instilling them with the discipline needed to succeed later in life. By gradually improving their tolerance and ability to be comfortable while in uncomfortable situations, we help to build children into resilient adults who will later become the leaders of tomorrow.
We strive to make our classes fun for our students so that they WANT to come as much as their parents want them to. All the while, most importantly giving them the skills and abilities that may one day save their life of that of a loved one if they are bullied or attacked.
We try to cover topics each week to help to direct our students to make the right choices in their lives, everything from anti bullying strategies, nutrition, healthy eating, stranger danger, internet dangers and other important topics we would all want our children to be educated in.
Children's Muay Thai Kickboxing
Muay Thai originates from Thailand and is an integral part of Thai culture. Much like AFL is in Australia. Muay Thai is known as the ‘art of eight limbs’ as it’s known for its devastating kicks, punches, knees and elbows. Muay Thai is widely considered the most effective striking martial art in the world, as it’s the striking martial art of choice for most professional MMA fighters.
Our classes are very child friendly, where we scale the techniques and moves back to allow your child to learn the art of Muay Thai is a safe environment minimising the risk of injury by taking out the head contact / hard sparring. Our classes are very non-threatening, and your child will be made to feel safe and secure in a nurturing environment while having fun, at the same time as building up important life skills.
Our kids Muay Thai classes begin with a variation of warm ups that are aimed to improve the student’s body movement and coordination. We then move onto hitting and holding Thai pads and practicing skills such as elbows, knees, punching and kicking. These are put together with pad drills and lead to light touch sparring when students are skilled and confident enough. Along with partnering up to practise learning how to defend against various attacks and strikes. These techniques are designed at improving balance, flexibility, speed and power. We also incorporate Thai clinching (manipulating an opponent’s body), partner drills, and self-defence skills. We end the class with a fun martial arts-based game.
CHILDREN'S Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:
The Brazilian grappling art initially gained fame by being the first martial art to dominate in the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) and remains the most effective forms of self-defence. The goal of BJJ is to teach students how to overcome strength and size with the correct application of timing, leverage and technique to force an opponent into submission. Utilizing joint locks, chokes, takedowns, holds and pins, BJJ is the most effective one on one fighting system on the planet.
Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes are fun and engaging. The teaching and content will vary depending on the age and skill set of the students. We start our classes with a warm up, starting slowly, this section builds with intensity to get them ready for the content of the class. Typical warm up activities include running, rolls, hip escapes and movement drills. We will then move onto learning new drills where a specific technique is introduced and explained, often in the form of a game where the students won’t even realise they’re practising Jiu Jitsu moves. Students will then pair up and attempt to complete this technique with their training partners. Students are reminded to look after the safety of their training partners as well as themselves. Each lesson will end with a fun game that promotes an aspect required for BJJ.
All of our classes are based around the safety and security of your children. Martial arts does not have to be dangerous, under the right instructor students can flourish and learn amazing abilities which they will carry with them throughout their lives.
